Spice Up Your Life: History, Sensory Evaluation, and Practical Uses

With the help of Dr. Sean O'Keefe and PhD candidate Renata Carneiro (Department of Food Science and Technology), learn about the history of some spices, food extinctions, and the sensory evaluation process; test your ability to identify spices and describe their characteristics; have your questions answered by food scientists. Registrants will be provided a kit in advance, then join by zoom to participate in the sensory experience and discussion.
