Welcome to Project eTrout!

This project is the first of its kind to link research and education in fish biology using Virtual Reality. Your goal is to estimate the number of brook trout observed in a series of underwater video samples collected by the US Geological Survey (USGS) in Shenadoah National Park, Virginia. USGS reseachers will summarize your results with a webinar for participants.

Please note:

(a) your participation is voluntary and involves minimal risk; you may quit at any time;
(b) you may also stop and resume at any time; the total running time of all videos (15 pools) is 105 minutes total
(c) no personally-identifiable information will be collected;
(d) results from this study will be used for the public benefit and may be published in the scientific literature.

If you are willing for us to use your responses in our study, you need only complete and submit this online tutorial and survey form. Participation is voluntary and anonymous.

Thank you for your participation!
