Thank you for your interest in the COVID-19 Research Accelerator Retreat. This event will take place July 12-16, 2021 and is designed to help VT faculty and graduate students move their Covid-related research forward quickly by providing dedicated time, space and specialized assistance for individuals and teams as well as opportunities to network informally with other VT researchers working on related issues.
For a full description, please see the
Call for Applications. Sign-ups will be available using this form through Sunday, June 13. Early applicants will be given priority, while maintaining a mix of participant types, disciplines, locations and project types. Depending on interest, the workshop may be in-person in Blacksburg (and/or satellite locations) or hybrid with online options available.
Before signing up, you should ensure you can commit to participating throughout the week. While you may leave as necessary for meetings or appointments, the experience is designed as a concentrated time and space and will be most valuable for those who participate consistently throughout the week.
Additionally, you should have a research project related to Covid-19 to work on, although you may be at any phase from design to analysis and reporting. Assistance will also be available before and after the event - including help assessing whether data are available that can address your research question.
